What just came off the machine

Lovely little wool applique, so adorable.
I should make one of these.
Or someone could make it for me and I will quilt it. Yes, that sounds good.
Anyone?

Applique Floral Heart

Just off the machine and ready to go homeShirley L's Appliqued Flower Heart quilt. This is one of those friendship exchanges. I am sure Shirley did the center medallion and the setting of course. This is a great layout for these blocks. It is about 72" square. I stitched the sashing in the ditch, stippled the applique backgrounds, I did a feather in the inner border, a feather fill in medallion background and straight lines in the outer border.

Here is the inner border close up.

Block detail.

Outer border detail.

Close up of the background fill of the center medallion.

Thread Ball

I was cleaning my Gammill machine today and when I emptied my thread catcher this was
what the ball looked like. I think it's very artsy. What do you think?

Oh The Beauty Of It All

I do so love a good poppy! Virginia O brought this cutie
in for quilting. This wall art was inspiring me to get
creating myself the whole time it was on the machine.
 Now to just get started!
I took close up photos but its hard to see to my detail
in these, so the last photo is of the back and you can
see the quilting detail in that picture.
 Border.
Ok now we can see whats going on here.
Hope Virginia likes what I have done!
Now go create something! (yep I am talking to me!)
